Canada issued 4500 ITAs in the Express Entry

On November 5, 2020, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted a new all-programs draw in the Express Entry. In draw #166, IRCC issued 4,500 invitations to apply (ITAs). The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round increased by 7 points and reached 478. The tie-breaking rule for this round was October 26, 2020, at 22:44:19 UTC. As of November 4, 2020, there are 148,470 profiles in the Express Entry pool of candidates, 4,132 profiles more compared to the previous update. IRCC had delayed the new draw for eight days as Immigration Department was implementing updates related to new points allocation for French-speaking and bilingual candidates. At the moment, there are about 7,000 candidates in the pool whose score is above 470 points. This inevitably means the expected drop of points required for getting the ITA in the next few rounds. In total, Canada invited 87,350 candidates in 33 invitation rounds in 2020.
