Super Visa

The Super Visa is a multi-entry visa that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to stay in Canada for up to 5 years per visit (extendable), and is valid for up to 10 years. It is a faster alternative to the Parent and Grandparent Program for families who want to be together sooner.

Eligibility Requirements

• Parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Child or grandchild must provide a letter of financial support
• Child/grandchild must meet Minimum Necessary Income
• Applicant must obtain qualifying Canadian medical insurance coverage (min. $100,000)
• Valid passport and no inadmissibility issues

Required Documents

• Letter of invitation and financial support from child/grandchild
• Proof of child/grandchild's income (T4, NOA, pay stubs)
• Proof of private Canadian medical insurance (min. $100,000 coverage, 1 year)
• Passport
• Proof of relationship (birth certificates)
