IRCC held the last invitation round in Express Entry in 2020

On December 23, 2020, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the last draw in the Express Entry in 2020. In invitation round #170, IRCC invited 5,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence. The lowest score in this round dropped by one point and was 468 points. The tie-breaking rule for this round was June 4, 2020, at 13:39:44 UTC. As of December 21, 2020, there are 147,487 profiles in the Express Entry pool of candidates, 770 profiles more compared to the previous update. Despite the COVID-19 and imposed travel restrictions, IRCC has set a new record inviting 107,350 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Express Entry.
